Today, the council organized a dialogue in partnership with the Libyan Center for Local Cultures titled ‘Social Cohesion and its Role in Confronting Disasters and Crises’ under the slogan ‘We are all children of the nation
Dr. Mahmoud El Fetisi, General Director of the Board, and Mr. Akram Al-Kateb, General Director of the Libyan Center for Local Cultures, inaugurated a dialogue titled ‘Social Cohesion and its Role in Confronting Disasters and Crises’ in partnership with the Libyan Center for Local Cultures. The event was attended by Dr. Nouri Al-Abar, Director of the Decision Support Center, Dr. Mohamed Gouar, General Manager of Al-Razi Hospital, Mr. Moulay Aqdiri, Chairman of the Social Council for Convergence, and a group of experts in the fields of education, social, psychological, research, and civil society.
The aim of this dialogue is to highlight the positive aspects of the interaction of citizens with the disaster that occurred on the eastern coast in the recent period
The dialogue discussed the following topics:

  1. Communication methods and citizenship culture.
  2. The concept of interdependence in Islam.
  3. The social, psychological, and economic effects resulting from crises and disasters.
    In conclusion, the entities that contributed to the relief operations to alleviate the suffering of the eastern coast were honored, and the following recommendations were issued:
  4. Accelerate the reconstruction of affected areas and focus on displaced persons.
  5. Reduce hate speech and replace it with a discourse that promotes the values of love, solidarity, and bridging the gap.
  6. Unify religious discourse to include promoting citizenship values.
