This morning, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, received the Director-General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, Dr. Faisal Al-Abdali, Director of the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Research and Studies, along with his assistants and departmental managers at the Board’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by experts in urban planning, economics, industry, and renewable energy.
The research management members of the authority presented a presentation that included a proposal to establish energy dams in Libya. The presentation included a brief explanation about hydroelectric power.
The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which was an agreement to organize a joint workshop to discuss policies and strategies related to natural disaster management. The main objectives of the workshop are to enhance cooperation and coordination among relevant parties, and to develop the necessary plans and procedures for this file’s efficient and effective management.
