In accordance with Minister of Planning’s Decision No. (176) of 2023, which stipulates the formation of two steering committees and a technical committee to prepare Libya’s Vision 2040, the steering committee held its first meeting yesterday, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohammed Al-Zaidani, Minister of Planning, and attended by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, General Director of the Board, and others. The members discussed the appropriate mechanism proposed for the official announcement marking the commencement of Libya’s Vision project (a comprehensive and clear vision for Libya’s future)
In conclusion, definite recommendations were issued emphasizing the necessity of unifying previous efforts and agreeing that the committee will hold its second meeting at the Board’s headquarters, in the presence of the project’s technical committee under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning.
