The General Director of the National Economic and Social Development Board, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, received Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Sadek, President of Zaytuna University, in his office yesterday. He welcomed the joint cooperation for the betterment of Libya.
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Milad Ahmed, Director of Quality Assurance Office at the university, and Mr. Mohamed Al-Taher, Director of Planning and Monitoring Office at the Souq Alahd Campus, were present.
In attendance on behalf of the Board were the General Director’s assistants and directors of departments and offices.
An agreement for cooperation was signed this morning, Wednesday, with Zaytuna University for the purpose of exchanging benefits in research, education, institutional building, and capacity building. The agreement also includes participation in workshops and conferences related to the work of both parties. Dr. Abdul-Sadek confirmed his determination and responsibility towards implementing the agreement.
This agreement is an important step towards upgrading and contributing to reconstruction and forming important partnerships with prestigious scientific institutions.
Efforts are being made to facilitate the return and stability of displaced families with the participation of the National Economic and Social Development Board, relevant ministries, and the United Nations mission. During a meeting, possible solutions were discussed to end the suffering of those affected by this issue.
