#The National Economic and Social Development Board organized an extensive meeting in collaboration with #Al-Murqub University on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, to prepare for a dialogue session on the World Bank’s report on the Libyan economic situation for the year 2023. The aim of the session is to discuss and analyze the current economic situation, challenges, and opportunities facing the Libyan  economy.

  • “The meeting was attended by:
  • Abdulsalam Al-Aoud, Assistant General Director for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
  • Imran Al-Bakouri, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Al-Murqub University.
  • Hussein Hawej, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at Al-Murqub University.
  • Osama Ishtewi, Head of the Competitiveness and Business Environment Department at the Board.
  • Raed Al-Qamoudi is an economist specialist at the Board.

The meeting’s results focused on reviewing possible solutions and suggestions to promote economic sustainability and achieve income source diversification. The meeting involved stakeholders and relevant parties, and it is expected that several experts and specialists in economics and development will participate.
