The objective of the project is to adopt a national strategy for social protection that can be included in the constitution document and any other legislation concerned with ensuring that all Libyans benefit from social protection measures. The project promotes social integration and social justice, and helping the government to unify efforts and measures taken to respond to cases of poverty, problems of vulnerability, and issues related to offering a decent life to all Libyans. The outputs of the teamwork are the preparation of a national strategy for social protection that includes social assistance, social insurance and the labor market. Many concerned authorities and ministries participated in developing the strategy, perhaps the most prominent of which are the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, and the Ministry of Economy and Trade, in addition to national expertise in social and economic sciences.
