The objective of the project is to study the conditions of Libyan youth, determine their priorities and their participation in achieving the goals of sustainable development 2040, work on formulating and adopting a national policy for youth development, and create a database for youth development that represents their needs, interests and priorities. The outputs of the project consisted of an integrated study on the situation of youth in Libya and a field survey that targeted more than 2,680 young men and women across Libya (education, labor market, youth, health, civil and political participation, and youth’s view of the future). The teamwork also developed preliminary features for youth empowerment policies. The Ministry of Youth and a number of experts in social, economic, political and other sciences participated in the implementation of the project.
