The key outcome of the project is the development of a National Strategy for Mineral Resources in Libya. The presentation was attended by all team members.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Fitisi, Director General of the Council, commended the efforts of the team members and their commitment to completing the assigned work within the specified timeframe and with high quality.

This initiative is part of the Council’s strategic plan to develop promising sectors that contribute to national economic growth, ensuring that the mineral resources sector becomes one of the country’s revenue sources.

Today, Sunday, 08/25/2024, the Council hosted a delegation at its headquarters The People’s Republic of China, formed by the China National Association of Consulting Engineers (CNAES), came into implementation of the outcomes of the visit of the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation last May. This meeting was attended on the Libyan side by (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Railway Projects Implementation Authority and his accompanying team – Director General of the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Research and Studies – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Renewable Energy Authority)The Council’s management closely followed up on the recommendations of the previous visit, and as a result, coordination was made with the relevant authorities to hold successive meetings, each in its own area, with the aim of strengthening cooperation ties between the two countries and discussing a number of important files within the interests of government institutions, through the Association’s desire to provide the necessary technical support in the field of development, especially [strategic planning – engineering consulting – organization and management – oil and gas – railways – renewable energies and other related topics]. The Council’s team presented an introductory video about the Council, its tasks, competencies and the work mechanism followed in it, and in succession, the Association’s team reviewed the tasks and competencies assigned to them, and the details of the presentation included a request for information on the possibility of implementing some projects in Libya through Chinese companies.
