At the invitation of the preparatory committee formed by the Board, experts and specialists from relevant entities responded to the invitation to attend the Board’s headquarters to exchange diverse opinions and ideas on the file of disaster and crisis management, according to the specialization of each sector, and to discuss the proposed topics to be presented in the workshop.
The attendees included representatives from the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Safety Authority, the National Center for Disease Control, the National Meteorological Center, the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Research, and a group of professors affiliated with the Academy of Higher Studies.
The attendees discussed the proposed topics and identified the issues arising from them to achieve comprehensive coverage of the file of disasters and crises.
On the sidelines of the meeting, experts from Derna joined the meeting to add some details related to the axis of rebuilding Derna using modern and sustainable methods.
