Today, a delegation of Malaysian consultants specializing in academic, research, economic, and social fields is meeting with a select group of academics from Libyan universities at the board\u2019s headquarters in Tripoli, Libya. The meeting is being held via Zoom.
\nThe meeting was chaired by Dr. Mahmoud El Fetisi, General-Director of the Board, and was attended by Dr. Khaled Aoun, President of the University of Tripoli, directors of departments affiliated with the Asmariya University, and the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
\nA select group of academics from Libyan universities were presented with a historical overview of Asmariya University since its inception, followed by a review of the most important local and international agreements. The presentation concluded with a tribute to the university\u2019s hosting of numerous foreign students.
\nAt the conclusion of the meeting, all parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement between the University of Tripoli and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to leverage Malaysia\u2019s experience in investing in human capital and developing educational institutions that align with and keep pace with the times.
